I love all things motor bikes but I have not always had the opportunity of living it out myself. At times it was the financial limitation resulting in bicycle transportation and at others the practical limitation of needing a car.
My biking began a reality in 2007 when I bought my first bike, passed my license and allowed myself that wonderful opportunity to play.
This year through riding, I have the chance of being part of the biggest single event to date in my life – the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.
“The ripple effect” is a powerful concept and I have loved the association of it with the facilitation work I have had the privilege to do for 21 years. What really motivates me is that there is a chance, due to the nature of “the ripple effect”, that our work has had a positive impact larger, at times, than what we may see directly with the people we come into contact with.
This charity event is an amazing example of positive ripples. It will start with me, my outfit for the day and my beautiful 1983 Yamaha XT550. Together with hundreds of other enthusiasts in Cape Town and then with over a hundred thousand further people around the world, all on the same day, I will ride, raise some funds and be part of this powerful global initiative.
You too can be part of this amazing spectacle with all of the wonderful energy it will create by donating. You can do this by sponsoring me here.
