Motivational
Talks
Motivational talks have their place in the realm of team development
and can be extremely effective when included as part of an overall
change management campaign.
Louis Gerke is not a ‘main-stream’ motivational
speaker as his personal preference leans more to the side of
facilitating experiential programmes. He is more of an
inspirational storyteller. His deep, sincere approach
reveals enormous insight and understanding into a vast spectrum
of subjects. His audiences quickly abandon the expectation
of traditional and often short-term ‘high-energy’ talks.
Rather than showcase his own opinion he draws from past experiences
and delivers thought provoking messages that everyone in his
audience can relate to and use in both their personal and business
lives.
Motivational Talk Overviews:
Choose between:
“What you can’t afford not to do today”
This talk is really the first step in moving
forward – in
getting different results – in getting unstuck when complacency
sets in or when you feel like nothing is working like you want
it to and you don’t know which way to turn.
It appeals to the conscience – that thing that won’t
just allow us to return to our old habits when we are exposed
to new thinking.
It helps us to reach a state of clarity on what needs to be
done to move forward.
Most of all it is about generally accepted strategies for survival
in tough operating environments.
“Stretch Fetch and Etch”
This talk hones in on the future and getting everyone and everything prepared for it now.
“Is
Logic holding back the Magic”
A talk that gets people thinking about what
may have been described as ‘Pink and Fluffy’ in
the past and positions these aspects as hard core business
logic.
Businesses are often built on logic alone. Logic drives
monthly reporting, reporting structures, office layout, parking
allocations, salary structures and the size of the chairs people
get to sit on.
The talk does not advocate forgoing logic but looks
at ways to complement logic by adding the realm of magic in daily
thinking.
Logic is having windows – Magic
is having windows with a view.
“Just Do It! - Juggle the choice
back into your life”
This is a ‘in your face’ kind of talk. It
challenges complacency in a big way. It however goes well
beyond stirring things up in that participants will be left with
a strong sense of what to do to live consciously, mindfully and
with a real sense of purpose.
"Reaching the Stars"
“Reaching the Stars” is a common desire but unfortunately “Reaching
the Stars” is not a common achievement. Way too many
people and teams alike are not achieving anywhere close to their
full potential. When considering how few people actually “Reach
the Stars” one might think that the methodologies needed
are quite literally rocket science. The ‘Ripple’ Effect
through a well-balanced intervention incorporating presented
information, experiential activities and reflective exercises
will illustrate just how simple “Reaching the Stars” can
be.

awareness of proactive behaviours

less than eight stunning analogies
A Talk is often a start. Louis is also
able to offer more detailed interventions designed to work
through the noise, the clutter, the blockages and the erroneous
beliefs that ultimately prevent leaders from leading, doers
from doing, everyone taking personal responsibility and teams
from operating effortlessly as they should.
In summary, it all starts with the individual then moves to
the leadership and ultimately to the team. |
